Omega 2 is a collection of harmonic saturators, each designed to focus the ear on different aspects of a sound's often-hidden personality.

At the center of every Omega is one knob, Intensity, which gradually brings that character into focus and then, if you keep pushing, will light it up until it glows.

The result is a sound with its most defining textures placed front and center. It will sit in the mix with less effort, and respond more gracefully to further processing with EQ and compression.

Each Omega has its own distinct personality, from Model A’s soft & pillowy vibe to Model TWK’s rough grit. The intensity of their effect covers the range from barely perceptible all the way to obliterated.

Model A vibes like a mic plugged straight into an API console from 1976. Adding a hint of sparkle and sheen, it slowly breaks up into a gritty white cloud of antique saturation.

The embodiment of an old Altec preamp: a growling, dirty low end giving way to a crisp, slurred 3k–8k. The overall effect is gritty warmth and presence, minus the hard edges.

Pushed harder, 458a will compress and pull the sound together from the ends inward, quickly developing a feeling of firmness and solidity. On an unruly bass, drum bus, or vocal, 458a is often the only thing a sound needs.
